Campus tours
Campus tours are a great way to learn more about the University and decide if Manchester is the place for you.
Guided tours of campus
Thinking about studying at The University of Manchester? Join one of our guided campus tours, led by the UK recruitment team.
These tours are a great way to get a feel for university life and see what our campus has to offer. Please note: tours are general and won’t include subject-specific information.
Tour highlights
- A short presentation about student life at Manchester.
- A Q&A panel where you can hear directly from current students.
- Student-led.
Accommodation visits
Want to find out more about our halls of residence? Join one of our Wednesday accommodation mornings:
- 11 March
- 18 March
- 25 March
Unfortunately, you won't be able to see inside our student bedrooms as it is term time, but some of our communal areas will be open for you. You’ll also have a chance to discuss our halls of residence with staff and ask any questions, from how to apply to what life is really like in our halls. The mornings will be based at Hulme Hall in Victoria Park, a 20-minute walk from the main campus.
Tours for students visiting from outside the UK
Throughout the year, the International Team endeavours to accommodate campus tours for prospective international students intending to study full-time on campus. To help us provide the best possible experience, we kindly ask for at least seven days’ notice. You can request a tour using the online form:

Please note: while we do our best to accommodate all requests, visits to student accommodation and specific Departments may not always be possible.
Self-guided tours
If you can’t make one of our in-person tours, you can take a self-guided tour at a time and place that suits you.
