New experiences ... for free!
Whether you're looking for something new to do or want to find a nice place to spend a rainy day, you can visit one of our cultural institutions for free.
- The John Rylands Library and Institute is just a short walk away from the city centre. Here you can explore the Hogwarts-like building and view the special collections, before settling down to study.
- The Whitworth is an art gallery in the nearest park, Whitworth Park. Just a five-minute walk from campus, you can explore over 60,000 items in its collection.
- Manchester Museum offers an array of collections and exhibitions, ranging from the South Asia Gallery and ancient mummies, or you may have the chance to meet our T-Rex, Stan.
- Martin Harris Centre for Music and Drama is situated on campus. There are regular musical and theatrical events, often hosted by our students. With a 350-seat concert hall and a 150-seat studio theatre, there's plenty to see and take part in.
