Master’s facilities
Our facilities will help you to make the most of your studies and range from one of the UK’s best-resourced academic libraries to the largest home for engineering of any UK university.
Investing in our campus
We are undertaking the biggest investment programme ever seen in UK higher education, including a multimillion-pound investment in buildings and facilities since 2004.
Manchester’s iconic Victorian buildings are now joined by contemporary lecture theatres, laboratories, studios, computer labs and a host of student support services.
Our Nancy Rothwell Building and Engineering Building B, part of the Manchester Engineering Campus Development (MECD), provide world-class sustainable research facilities, alongside flexible and innovative teaching and learning spaces that allow you to shape your learning environment. It is the largest concentration of interdisciplinary engineering expertise at any UK university.
The Alliance Manchester Business School, part of the University’s £1 billion campus masterplan, has been refurbished and is now home to a data visualisation observatory – the first of its kind in the UK, the behavioural research laboratory, inspiring study and teaching spaces, along with bustling catering outlets and three outdoor courtyards.
Digital facilities
We are also investing in our digital facilities and have introduced game-changing digital enhancements such as etextbooks, professional screen recordings, video editing, and digital document annotations.
Our rapid development of flexible learning will prepare you for an increasingly digital future.
