Many of Manchester’s key attractions and amenities are all within close proximity and easy reach of our campus and student halls. There is also a linked network of trams and buses, and several central train stations, making Manchester’s public transport accessible and easy to use.
Key areas:
- The University of Manchester is located on Oxford Road – head from campus into the city centre for a wide choice of shops and restaurants along the Oxford Road Corridor.
- The city centre is only a short distance away from campus and halls. You can choose to walk or take one of the regular bus services, or cycle on one of the city's yellow bikes dotted around campus, to enjoy what Manchester has to offer.
- Fallowfield is a popular student area where most choose to live during their studies. It's just a short bus ride from campus, with a lively nightlife, affordable shopping and parks.
- Victoria Park is a quieter residential area closer to campus and brimming with character. It's easily reachable by walking, cycling or getting the bus.
